Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects.
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Manage the day-to-day work of the construction project in a safe and efficient manner.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
• Proven track record of managing commercial, healthcare, higher education, and K12, or hospitality construction projects.
• Large project experience ranging from $1M to $50M in size.
• Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
• Proficient in construction management software packages.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Relevant certification (e.g. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associated General Contractor (AGC) certificate) is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
