We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Superintendent with a passion for the construction industry to join our team. This exciting position offers the opportunity to oversee commercial construction projects from the ground up, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in new construction and commercial projects, with a proven track record of successful project completion. The Superintendent will be responsible for all aspects of on-site management, from initial site preparation to final project completion. This role requires a highly organized individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities from the ground up.
2. Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of projects on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
4. Maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems.
5. Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
6. Understand the project plans and specifications.
7. Maintain a safe, clean and compliant job site.
8. Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
9. Prepare, schedule and supervise completion of final punch list.
10. Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Superintendent role.
2. Proven experience in commercial construction and new construction projects.
3. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team to success.
4. Excellent understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
5. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
6. Knowledge of various building types and construction methods.
7. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
9. A team player with leadership abilities.
10. BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field is a plus.
11. PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
