Superintendent - Multifamily

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to lead our multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily construction, scheduling, subcontractor management, and will have previously held the role of a Multifamily Construction Superintendent. The Permanent Superintendent will play a crucial role in the completion of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of multifamily construction projects from start to finish. You will:

1. Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
2. Coordinate and oversee all work on site.
3. Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensure adherence to these.
4. Manage subcontractors and other labor forces.
5. Ensure the quality of work and materials is upheld.
6. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety and health rules and regulations.
7. Conduct regular site inspections.
8. Resolve any problems that may arise and ensure work is completed on time.
9. Communicate project progress to the stakeholders.
10. Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Permanent Superintendent, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in the role of a Multifamily Construction Superintendent.
2. Proven experience in multifamily construction, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
3. Strong leadership and management skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. The ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. A solid understanding of all facets of the construction process.
7. Familiarity with construction management software.
8. The ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
9. Knowledge of construction safety and current building codes and regulations.
10. The ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
11. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred.
