Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Superintendent Healthcare OSHPD to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee healthcare construction projects from the ground up, including remodels, renovations, additions, expansions, and seismic retrofits. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction, including experience with OSHPD regulations and standards, and a proven track record of successfully completed projects in hospital settings, including Behavioral Hospital Construction and Healthcare Towers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction projects from the ground up, including remodels, renovations, additions, expansions, and seismic retrofits.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, and report issues.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, preferably in healthcare construction.
• Proven working experience in project management in the construction sector.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
• Familiarity with construction management software packages.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
• Familiarity with OSHPD regulations and standards.
• Experience with Behavioral Hospital Construction and Healthcare Towers is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully completed construction projects.
• BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
