We are an established and growing Construction Management firm specializing in supporting commercial clients in the Higher Education, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Corporate markets in the Delaware Valley area. We bring sustainable building practices to all of our projects and are currently looking to add another Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of one or more construction projects. Our office is located in Exton, PA.

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent for Commercial Space in the Construction industry. This exciting role will oversee and manage all aspects of our commercial construction projects, from planning to implementation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and supervising commercial construction and renovation projects, with a keen eye for detail and a relentless drive for quality. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Superintendent, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities. This includes:

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
2. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.
3. Managing and mitigating project risks and issues, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
4. Providing regular status reports to senior management, highlighting progress, risks and issues.
5. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
6. Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
7. Implementing and managing quality control programs.
8. Participating in project meetings and providing input on construction methods and scheduling.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing and supervising commercial construction and renovation projects.
3. Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
4. Excellent business acumen, with the ability to understand and address the commercial implications of decisions.
5. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and mitigate project risks and issues.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
