Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our Commercial Construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a proficient team on diverse and challenging construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of commercial construction projects from initial planning to completion. This includes managing the construction of fuel centers, convenience stores, concrete and asphalt work, and more. This position requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle including conception, design, construction, and completion.
2. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the construction project.
3. Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
4. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
5. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
6. Develop and implement project schedules, manage team resources, and track project progress.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
8. Resolve any issues or delays that may occur on the construction site.
9. Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
10. Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the commercial construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, specifically fuel centers, convenience stores, concrete, and asphalt work.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
4. Experience with commercial projects in the $3-20M range
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with conflict resolution.
6. Proficient in construction software programs.
7. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
10. Certifications in project management and health and safety procedures would be a plus.
