Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the construction industry, specifically in the areas of educational construction and recreational facility construction. This position requires an individual who is capable of overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
2. Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Conduct quality control checks to ensure adherence to project design and specifications.
4. Lead and manage a team of construction workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
5. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project success.
6. Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing risk management strategies as necessary.
7. Maintain a safe and clean job site, enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
8. Communicate project progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
9. Resolve any issues or delays that may occur during the construction process.
10. Ensure compliance with all local and federal construction regulations and standards.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in educational construction and recreational facility construction.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and project management skills.
6. Proficiency in construction management software and other related technology.
7. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively with a team.
10. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring quality and precision in work.
11. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
12. Certification in construction safety and risk management is a plus.
