Currently they are looking to add a Structural Project Engineer who will be responsible for designing foundations, creating permit and construction documents, and addressing manufacturing and field RFIs for each home.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of all aspects of the product, including design for manufacturing, transportation, and assembly.
• Design and document project-specific structural elements, including foundations, for each home project.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to deliver fully coordinated, constructable designs.
• Perform site observation, review submittals, and respond to manufacturing and construction RFIs.
• Create structural engineering tools, systems, and processes to expedite the design and documentation process.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with Field, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Design teams.

Requirements:

• Licensed Civil PE in California.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in Structural Design.
• Experience in designing light-framed wood systems, architectural steel components such as stairs and canopies, and foundations.
• Opportunity to apply your expertise in novel ways, exploring new approaches and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
• Experience with BIM systems such as Revit.
