This role is a hybrid role of 50% Work From Home and 50% traveling in to sites primarily in your territory.

Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Structural Forensic Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to provide forensic consulting services to insurers, legal professionals, owners, contractors, and others in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and determining the cause and origin of complex structural failures and deficiencies in the built environment. This role requires proficiency in Structural Design, PE, Engineering Project Management, Forensic Engineering, and Forensic Restoration, with a minimum of three years of experience in these areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct forensic investigations of structural system failures in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

2. Perform on-site inspections, field testing, and material sampling of failed structures.

3. Analyze and interpret data from investigations to formulate a technical conclusion of the cause and origin of failure.

4. Develop detailed reports of investigative findings, including the preparation of diagrams, photographs, and other visual aids to support the findings.

5. Provide expert witness testimony in depositions, arbitrations, and trials when necessary.

6. Collaborate with other team members and clients in a professional and efficient manner.

7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and methodologies in structural forensic engineering.

8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.

9. Participate in business development initiatives, including client outreach, proposal development, and presentations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field is preferred.

2. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of practice.

3. Minimum of three years of experience in Structural Design, PE, Engineering Project Management, Forensic Engineering, and Forensic Restoration.

4. Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.

5. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and materials.

6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

8. Proficiency in using engineering software for structural analysis and design.

9. Ability to work in a variety of challenging environments, including high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, and construction sites.

10. Willingness to travel as required for on-site inspections and client meetings.
