We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Permanent Structural Design or Forensic Engineers to join our dynamic team. You will be an integral part of our engineering department, working on a variety of exciting projects that challenge your skills and expand your knowledge. As a Permanent Engineer, you will be tasked with creating, developing, and implementing intricate structural designs that meet both aesthetic and safety standards. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, creativity, and a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement structural designs for a range of projects, ensuring they comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Use advanced software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, RISA, and Enercalc to create detailed structural plans and simulations.
- Conduct forensic investigations to identify structural issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with construction engineers to ensure the successful implementation of structural designs, addressing any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Continually stay updated on industry developments, incorporating innovative design techniques into your work.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Work closely with clients to understand their structural design needs and objectives, ensuring their satisfaction with the final design.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida or in process of acquiring.
- At least 5 years of experience in structural design or forensic engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, RISA, and Enercalc.
- Experience in forensic structural engineering, with the ability to identify and rectify structural issues.
- A strong understanding of construction engineering, with the ability to collaborate effectively with construction engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions to complex structural challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- A passion for structural design, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Must be available to travel in and out of state for work up to five (5) business days at a time.
