Job Details

The Staff Accountant must have at least three years of accounting experience and be well versed in all areas accounting!

Accountant Requirements:
  • At least three (3) years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient in QuickBooks
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for cost savings/profit enhancement and efficiency improvements
  • Strong initiative and ability to analyze, question and summarize data for decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Corporate and personal tax experience is a plus

Accountant Description:
  • Prepare and evaluate accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness
  • Prepare, maintain and analyze acquisition and loan documents, including key terms that have financial effects
  • Analyzes daily, month-end and year-end activity of income statement and balance sheet accounts to ensure correct financial information through
the general ledger
  • Perform month-end close including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
  • Analyze business trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses
  • Proactively presents recommendations and/or modifications to management
  • Create and analyze metrics and scorecards for profitability
  • Manage cash flows of multiple entities
  • Identify, implement and support improvements to gain efficiencies and effectiveness of accounting practices
