Staff Accountant

Our company, a leading player in the Real Estate industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of our high-performing finance department, where you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and success of our company. We are looking for a candidate who is highly proficient in Yardi, has Real Estate or Private Equity experience, and a background in Big 4 public accounting.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
2. Preparing financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.
3. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
4. Analyzing and reporting on financial performance.
5. Providing guidance on financial reporting and operational matters.
6. Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
7. Ensuring a clean and timely year-end audit.
8. Collaborating with team members to achieve company financial goals.
9. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
10. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is highly preferred.
3. Proven experience with Yardi, Real Estate, or Private Equity.
4. A strong background in Big 4 public accounting.
5. Proficiency in financial reporting, including knowledge of FASB, SEC, and IFRS.
6. Solid understanding of GAAP.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
8. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
9. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial associates.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
