Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

1. Conducting thorough financial analysis to help guide business decisions and strategy.
2. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for internal leadership.
3. Performing routine reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and other financial documents.
4. Utilizing advanced MS Excel skills to compile, analyze, and present financial data.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
6. Collaborating with other team members to streamline and improve accounting functions.
7. Maintaining the integrity of financial information by ensuring compliance with internal controls.
8. Assisting with annual budget preparation and financial forecasting.
9. Participating in financial audits and liaising with external auditors as needed.
10. Providing support for ad hoc projects as directed by management.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced functions.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
5. Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting.
6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions.
11. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems would be a plus.
