We are seeking an energetic Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for support both our project accounting and corporate accounting functions. You will perform project/job costing, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments., and more.

We are seeking an energetic Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for support both our project accounting and corporate accounting functions. You will perform project/job costing, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments., and more.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project management teams to provide financial insights and report on project profitability.
- Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Conduct regular ledger preparation and reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
- Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll as necessary
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, and proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s finance and job cost accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Project Accounting, Construction Accounting, Inventory, Journal Entries, Month End Close.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
