Responsibilities

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
2. Managing journal entries, invoices etc. and reconciling accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
3. Supporting the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
4. Participating in preparation for the annual audit.
5. Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
6. Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding the organization’s financial data.
7. Utilizing Yardi software to its fullest potential, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
8. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes.
9. Collaborating with the team to improve financial processes.
10. Providing support to the financial department and performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Mortgage or Real Estate industry.
3. Proficient in Yardi and Property Accounting.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
7. Excellent mathematical skills and an analytical mindset.
8. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
9. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
