Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Staff Accountant for a temporary to hire opportunity. As a Senior Staff Accounatnt you will join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to apply and develop their skills in a stimulating and rewarding environment. The successful Senior Accountant candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Senior Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly income statements and financial reports.
3. Managing intercompany transactions and reconciling intercompany accounts.
4. Utilizing Sage Intacct and Great Plains software for various accounting tasks.
5. Overseeing and maintaining an accurate record of fixed assets.
6. Coordinating the year-end close process and preparing necessary documentation.
7. Producing accurate monthly reporting for management.
8. Maintaining and updating the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
9. Utilizing advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
10. Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
11. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
12. Participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
13. Providing input into department’s goal setting process.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the medical industry, real estate accounting, multi entity, intercompany accounting or public accounting with stable job tenure
3. Supervisory or lead experience preferred in an accounting department but not required
4. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, functions, pivot tables, and charts. accounting software, specifically Sage Intacct and Great Plains.
5. Experience with financial reporting, balance sheet analysis, adjusting entries, intercompany accounting, reconciling accounts, preparing income statements, and managing intercompany transactions.
6. Extensive experience with Income Statement and Balance Sheet management.
7. Proficiency in US GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.experience with year-end closing procedures.
8. Sage Intact for General Ledger Reconciliation and month end close
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. An initiative-taking approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
11. A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
