Staff Accountant - ADP Payroll - 7% Pension contributions
Our esteemed organization, a 50-year-old nonprofit research institute, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance Department.
This role requires someone with strong ADP Payroll accounting experience. We are looking for someone to handle this!
Responsibilities:
1. Managing and executing the full cycle of accounting duties or tasks such as preparing financial statements, performing account analysis and reconciliation, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
2. Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and that all employees are paid correctly.
3. Invoicing customers for goods and services, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
4. Proactively following up on outstanding payments, liaising with customers to resolve any discrepancies and to ensure timely payments.
5. Participating in financial projects, such as annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
6. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry laws and regulations related to accounting.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Strong experience in Payroll processing and Invoicing. (ADP) Candidates must exhibit a high level of proficiency in Excel
