Technical Accountant

Job Details:

This role is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious individuals eager to utilize their technical accounting skills to significantly impact our financial operations. You will be working closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and control.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain financial records: Analyze and maintain ledger accounts, provide accurate and timely reporting of financial information, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

2. SEC Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual reports (10-Q, 10-K) and support the internal and external review for these documents.

3. Audit: Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures and annual audits by working closely with external auditors.

4. Technical Accounting: Research and solve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP compliance.

5. Month-end close: prepare journal entries, account reconciliation, and adhere to internal controls

6. Financial Analysis: Perform month-end closing activities, including variance analysis. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and balance sheet accounts.

7. Process Improvement: Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Public Accounting experience (Big 4 Preferred)

2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.

3. Minimum of 2 years of related experience in technical accounting, GAAP, SEC reporting, and audit.

4. Strong understanding of accounting theory and US GAAP.

5. High proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial associates and senior management.
