Job Details
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role within our accounting department, gaining broad exposure to various accounting segments and functions. Under the guidance of Senior Accountants and Controllers, you will prepare and record journal entries, handle month-end reconciliations and analysis, and assist in data compilation and validation for special projects and significant accounting models.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries for items such as cash, fixed assets, payroll, prepaids, general accruals, etc.
Complete month-end closing responsibilities
Research accounting guidance and provide recommendations when necessary
Assist in the preparation and communication of management reports
Support external and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
Work on process improvement, documentation, and control implementation
Interact with customers by providing monthly reporting, answering inquiries, and assisting with special projects
Assist in variance analysis on performance to budget and performance to forecasts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
2-3 years of overall experience in accounting
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and reporting abilities
Detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed CPA
Accounting audit experience
General Ledger experience
