Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax accounting, public accounting, federal taxation, and state income taxes. With a minimum of 3 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and updating our company's financial status.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.

2. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

4. Coordinating and completing annual audits.

5. Providing recommendations for improving systems and processes, and managing implementation.

6. Meeting financial accounting objectives.

7. Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns; coordinating and organizing tax documents; ensuring legal compliance.

8. Developing and maintaining internal control and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

9. Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.

10. Participating in preparation for the annual audit.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of accounting and finance.

3. Proven expertise in Accounting, Tax Accounting, Public Accountant, Federal taxation, and state income taxes.

4. Proficiency in accounting software.

5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills.

7. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

8. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.

9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

11. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
