We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional who is passionate about accounting and finance, and who is eager to take on the full cycle of accounts payable, month-end close, fixed assets, accounts reconciliations, AMEX expenses, sales tax reporting, and bank reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
2. Overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured and reported.
3. Maintaining the fixed assets register, including tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
4. Performing accounts reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
5. Managing AMEX expenses, including expense tracking, reporting, and reconciliation.
6. Preparing sales tax reports and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
7. Performing bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
2. Proficiency in full cycle accounts payable, month-end close, fixed assets, accounts reconciliations, AMEX expenses, sales tax reporting, and bank reconciliation.
3. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
4. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
8. CPA certification or a commitment to obtain certification is considered a plus.
