Sr. Tax Supervisor

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in tax compliance, tax planning, and managing high net worth accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws, and providing strategic tax planning solutions. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. A Master's degree and currently licensed CPA (or candidate, with commitment to complete CPA exam before being promoted to Manager with subsequent obtaining of licensure), Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage daily operations of the tax department, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with state and federal tax laws.
2. Provide comprehensive tax planning services for high net worth clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and ensuring all tax obligations are met.
3. Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
4. Develop and implement effective tax strategies that align with the business objectives.
5. Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.
6. Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations and advise management on the financial implications of legal decisions.
7. Conduct regular tax training sessions for the team to ensure they are updated with the latest tax laws and regulations.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and coordinate tax projects.
9. Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages team performance.
