Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr Systems Administrator to join our fast-paced non-profit company. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of our computer systems and network. This role involves managing and improving our existing infrastructure, as well as strategizing and implementing future developments. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver who is well-versed in system administration, CISCO Meraki, VPN, SD-WAN, and Microsoft Windows.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our computer systems and network, ensuring smooth system performance.
  • Design, install, and support the organization’s LANs, WANs, network segments, intranet and internet systems.
  • Develop and implement policies for network usage, disaster recovery, and system security to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, including CISCO Meraki, VPN, SD-WAN, and Microsoft Windows.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system issues.
  • Evaluate and modify system performance, conduct regular security checks, and maintain integrity and confidentiality of data.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and other team members.
  • Plan and implement system automation as required for better efficiency.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and issues in IT, including security, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, specifically in an engineering or related industry.
  • Proven experience with CISCO Meraki, VPN, SD-WAN, and Microsoft Windows.
  • Strong knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
  • Ability to manage, configure, and maintain all hardware, peripheral devices, and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex systems in an understandable way.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Up-to-date on the latest industry trends and able to stay ahead of rapidly changing technology.
