The role is primarily focused on the design, procurement, setup, monitoring, and long-term operations of critical systems that our office and factories rely upon, including networks, servers, directory services, security, hardware, software, video conferencing systems. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting the daily operations of our Linux and Windows servers.
2. Implementing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory, ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data.
3. Administering and optimizing PostgreSQL and MySQL databases to guarantee high performance and responsiveness.
4. Managing Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
5. Deploying and managing web applications on Tomcat.
6. Overseeing the Hyper-V virtual environment, including creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines.
7. Participating in DevOps processes, including automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
8. Developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures and conducting regular system backups.
9. Working closely with the IT team to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
10. Providing technical support and guidance to staff, assisting with system issues, and ensuring optimal system performance.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Linux distributions and Windows Server.
4. Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Apache Kafka.
5. Proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory.
6. Familiarity with Tomcat and Hyper-V.
7. Experience in DevOps environment and practices.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
