Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) / General Manager to oversee our operations and drive strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the construction industry, particularly within the concrete specialty sector and multifamily construction projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional management, operational, and financial acumen, capable of leading a team to achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance profitability.
• Provide leadership and direction to department heads and project teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.

Operational Management:

• Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including project management, resource allocation, scheduling, and quality control.
• Implement best practices and procedures to optimize operational performance and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Financial Management:

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to monitor and control costs and maximize profitability.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation to achieve financial targets.

Client Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and support to empower employees to achieve their full potential.

Safety and Compliance:

• Champion a safety-first culture by promoting and enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to mitigate risks and liabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in the construction industry, with a focus on concrete specialty contracting and multifamily construction projects.
• Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with the ability to analyze data, make sound decisions, and drive results.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning, project management, and operational excellence.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
