The ideal candidate will have prior experience with healthcare/medical related construction projects as a Preconstruction Manager. Additional experience in other construction markets is a huge plus!

We are seeking a Sr. Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our company's growth and success. The Sr. Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all preconstruction activities for our construction projects throughout the Southeast. This individual will work closely with the project team to ensure all preconstruction tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and that all project objectives are met. This role requires a high degree of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all preconstruction activities for our construction projects, including planning, estimating,
scheduling, and design management.
  • Collaborate with project team members, clients, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and analyze project design and specifications to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, and ensure all preconstruction tasks are completed in accordance
with project plans and specifications.
  • Regularly communicate project status, progress, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for improving preconstruction
processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management. Prior medical/healthcare construction experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in project planning, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in construction software and technology.
