Sr. Plumbing/Fire Protection Designer

Our growth has created a need for a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our expanding MEP design team in our Sarasota office

Responsibilities

Field survey of existing fire protection, and plumbing systems
Design of Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for commercial, industrial, schools, retail and healthcare facilities throughout Southeast U.S
Preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, and details
Approval of submittals and aid in RFI responses during construction administration
Serve as Project Engineer on smaller, less complex projects
Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD)


Qualifications

3+ years of relevant Plumbing/Fire Protection design experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from project manager and produce the expected results
Able to meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure
Experience working on several projects at once
