Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management in the food production sector, with an emphasis on food safety, safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Food Packaging. This is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior EHS Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety, health, and environmental (EHS) programs to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
2. Leading the development and implementation of the HACCP and SQF systems to ensure food safety.
3. Implementing effective OSHA compliance programs, including training and education of employees on safety regulations and practices.
4. Overseeing all aspects of GMP within the manufacturing environment to ensure product quality and safety.
5. Managing food packaging safety and compliance, ensuring all materials and processes adhere to regulatory standards.
6. Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
7. Managing incident investigations and root cause analysis, providing recommendations for preventive measures.
8. Liaising with regulatory bodies and maintaining excellent relationships with local, state, and federal safety officials.
9. Providing regular reports to senior management on EHS performance, compliance issues, and improvement plans.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior EHS Manager position will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in EHS management within the food manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of EHS, Food Safety, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, GMP, and Food Packaging.
4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
5. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines effectively and efficiently.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
