As a Permanent Sr. Automation Engineer in the Energy industry, you will be at the forefront of innovative solutions, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of automated systems. This integral role is pivotal to the successful execution of our operations, with a focus on maximizing efficiency, reducing costs, and minimizing the risk of errors. You will be a part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving in line with technological advancements.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes to complete exact tasks.
2. Develop and implement PLC programs using RSLogix 5000 to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Create and implement advanced HMI systems to provide a user-friendly interface for operators.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and develop automation strategies accordingly.
5. Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
6. Troubleshoot issues with existing automation systems and provide timely solutions.
7. Maintain documentation for all automated processes, including technical design documents, reports, and user manuals.
8. Keep abreast of advancements in automation technology and introduce them to the business where appropriate.
9. Train and support team members in the use of automation systems.
10. Ensure all automation activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on automation engineering.
3. Proven experience with Rockwell, RSLogix 5000, HMI, and PLC or equivalent.
4. Strong understanding of automation systems and their application in the energy industry.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in a clear and concise manner.
