Responsibilities:

As a Sr Automation Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes to complete precise tasks.
2. Troubleshooting and debugging automation systems, ensuring they are kept at peak performance.
3. Developing and implementing PLC programs to enhance production efficiency.
4. Creating SCADA and HMI systems for controlling and monitoring manufacturing processes.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and translate them into effective automation strategies.
6. Providing technical support and training to production teams for all automation systems.
7. Continually researching and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in industrial automation.
8. Ensuring all automation systems comply with industry safety and design standards and regulations.
9. Documenting all automation processes and updates, and maintaining a database of all system configurations and modifications.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Sr Automation Engineer position will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in PLC programming, preferably with experience in Allen Bradley, Siemens, or other major PLC platforms.
4. Experience in SCADA and HMI programming.
5. Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies and systems.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with a diverse range of professionals.
9. Proven track record in managing projects and meeting deadlines.
