A bit about us:

As a Sr. Tax Accountant with Our Client you will be responsible for review and preparation of various entity and individual tax returns, supervision and training of staff, as well as creating and maintaining client relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan and direct corporate, individual, and partnership tax engagements.

· Review moderate level tax returns including forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041, etc.

· Identify tax issues and provide tax planning advice to a diverse client base.

· Supervise, develop, and train members of our tax practice.

· Focus on the management of client relationships to ensure the delivery of exceptional client services.

· Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions; identify and document uncertain tax positions.

· Perform and review technical tax research, analysis, and written memorandum.

· Assist clients with the management of federal and state tax audits and negotiate tax positions.

· Work directly with the firm’s leadership to support the many operational elements of the firm’s tax services, including thought leadership, quality control, and training and development.

· Ensure exceptional client service by delivering the highest quality results, and providing forward-thinking advice and suggestions on relevant matters in a manner that is timely and straightforward.

· Responsible for leading a team of staff-level positions and ensuring proper execution of assignments.

· Other duties as assigned

  • Manage tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities, ensuring accurate and timely responses.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensure company's compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand business operations and their impact on taxes.
  • Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (CPA, MST) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate and partnership taxes.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and experience with tax forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts and strategies to non-financial personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
