Job Details

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to provide support to the VP of Sourcing and VP of Production. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, with experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) considered a plus. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have 2-3 years of experience in Home Textiles or Apparel.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage product program details in conjunction with design, packaging, and overseas offices.
  • Attend meetings for all assigned product categories to ensure sourcing strategies are met.
  • Monitor design spec sheets for costing and follow through on cost sheet submissions.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate communication with overseas teams.
  • Assist in negotiating programs and work with sales on target costs and quantities.
  • Maintain department costs in our system.Maintain system crossover costing between companies.
  • Communicate with overseas offices on all sourcing issues.
  • Negotiate costs and manage PLM.
  • Order and track samples.
  • Set up sample reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Understand and follow up on orders and any issues.
  • Develop relationships with new factories.
  • Work on spec adjustments to achieve cost goals.
  • Review production reports to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and input data in our system.
  • Review specs to meet customer/brand requirements.
  • Direct and interface with overseas offices for cost quotations.
  • Review and understand variables used in costing.
  • Collaborate with overseas offices and agents to source kitchen and table products.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Home Textiles or Apparel sourcing preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with PLM a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
