Pre-IPO technology company with a unicorn valuation is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working for a Pre-IPO Software as a Service (SaaS) or technology company.

Description:
As a key member of the executive management team, the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance will report to the CFO and assume an operational and strategic role in the overall management of the company. This includes direct responsibility for sales operations, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and private and institutional financing.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales operations and finance professionals.
  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure a cohesive organizational effort.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Sales Operations
  • Develop and implement sales processes and policies that drive sales effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Manage sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales reporting and performance metrics to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior sales leaders to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
  • Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process.
  • Partner with HR to establish sales incentive programs and compensation planning.

Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the Company.
  • Ability to author and drive a 5-quarter rolling forecast and budget approval process.
  • Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction.
  • Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.

Job Details

Qualifications:
  • MBA in Finance preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible financial experience for a major company or division of a large corporation, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Management consulting or investment banking experience preferred
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills, which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
  • Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies
