A bit about us:

We are a global piping system manufacturer hiring for a Senior Tax Manager. This position is responsible for federal and state income taxes, property taxes, and sales and use taxes. This role will assist in monthly and annual tax provision calculations, monitor and manage fixed asset reporting and depreciation calculations.

Successful candidates will have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and have a CPA designation.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate federal and state income tax returns and estimates, and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
2. Manage and perform tax planning and research activities to minimize company tax liability.
3. Oversee and manage all tax audits, respond to tax notices, and maintain good relationships with tax authorities.
4. Manage and maintain the company's tax reporting systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
5. Prepare and review fixed asset reporting and tax depreciation schedules.
6. Ensure accurate application of ASC740, including deferred tax accounting, tax provision calculations, and relevant disclosures.
7. Collaborate with various departments to provide tax advice and guidance on business decisions.
8. Continuously monitor and update the company’s tax strategy in response to changes in tax laws and business operations.
9. Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.
10. Provide training and mentorship to junior tax staff and promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Qualifications:
1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge and experience with tax reporting, tax audits, fixed asset reporting, tax depreciation, and ASC740.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
5. High level of proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor junior staff.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
