We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Corporate Tax Accountant to join our growing team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity for growth and advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tax function of our organization, which includes tax planning, preparation, review, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local tax laws, as well as the ability to effectively manage annual tax provisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Conduct tax planning activities to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax savings.
  • Coordinate and manage audits by tax authorities.
  • Prepare annual tax provisions and ensure accurate reporting of tax-related financial information.
  • Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
  • Provide expert tax advice to management on business decisions, taking into consideration tax implications and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve tax efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in tax planning, preparation, and review.
  • Experience in managing audits by tax authorities.
  • Proficient in tax software and other related accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver on deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong business and common sense acumen.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
