The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the company storage, network, and server infrastructure are well-engineered, maintained, and operated reliably. This position will provide hands-on administration, maintenance, and operations support for all the organization's critical systems (local and cloud) and employee workstations.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our Technology team. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy professional, experienced in managing and maintaining our technology infrastructure. This role involves a wide range of activities including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and automation. The Senior Systems Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.

Responsibilities

1. Administer and maintain a variety of operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
2. Write and utilize scripts for automation tasks, using languages such as Powershell, Bash, and Python.
3. Manage our JAMF environment, including software deployment and configuration management.
4. Execute Windows System Imaging to ensure efficient deployment and recovery of systems.
5. Implement and manage configuration management tools, with a focus on Ansible.
6. Manage Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services.
7. Work with cloud-based platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), to manage and deploy infrastructure and services.
8. Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and service records.
9. Collaborate with our IT team to identify and implement new technology solutions.
10. Provide level 3 support for complex system issues that are escalated from the helpdesk.
11. Ensure system security through the use of industry-accepted best practices.
12. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux administration.
4. Solid scripting skills in languages such as Powershell, Bash, and Python.
5. Experience with JAMF for software deployment and configuration management.
6. Knowledge of Windows System Imaging.
7. Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
8. Familiarity with AD, DNS, and DHCP services.
9. Experience with AWS for managing and deploying infrastructure and services.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
11. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
