Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This is a permanent position that offers you a chance to be a part of our fast-growing company. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in all financial operations, including wealth management, financial reporting, and auditing. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as participating in strategic planning and development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all aspects of our financial operations, including wealth management, financial reporting, and auditing.
2. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
3. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
5. Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
6. Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
7. Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO with conducting audits.
8. Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy.
9. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
10. Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
11. Develop and implement accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of operating data and special reports as required.
12. Maintain the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
13. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. A Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration would be advantageous.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a senior accountant role.
4. Proven experience in public accounting and wealth management.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. High proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgement calls.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
