Senior Software Engineer

As a company, we are an independent, community blood center providing Medical resources to more than 200 medical facilities in 50-plus counties in Texas. Due to growth, we are looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to our team in the area!

This hire will be responsible for full-scale computer systems from inception to implementation. Also, the candidate will be responsible to design, develop, and/or modify, maintain, and implement computer modules, sub-systems, and computer programs in response to user requests and in accordance with development standards and organizational goals.

Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement software solutions to address complex business issues and provide technical leadership within the team.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document software requirements, and ensure that developed software meets these requirements.
3. Perform in-depth troubleshooting and debugging to resolve technical issues.
4. Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
5. Develop and maintain detailed software documentation.
6. Utilize Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports for database management and report generation.
7. Develop and enhance applications using Java, C#, .NET, and other relevant technologies.
8. Participate in the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices.
9. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience in software development with a focus on Oracle, Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Web Development, Java, C#, and .NET.
3. Proven experience in systems design, trouble-shooting, and source control.
4. Strong understanding and knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
8. Experience in the healthcare or medical industry is a plus.
