We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Service Desk Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a crucial role in providing first-line technical support to our internal departments. You will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, ensuring our systems and devices are running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Respond to, document, and resolve service tickets in a timely manner according to SLA.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS), software applications, and network connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform computer setup and maintenance, including RAM and ROM management.
  • Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Support VPN setup and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Handle DHCP configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Guide users through step-by-step solutions in a clear, concise manner.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure swift resolution of issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.
  • Conduct proactive maintenance on our systems, including regular updates and patches.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Mac/Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of VPN setup and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of DHCP configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MSCE, or CompTIA A+ are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
