We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Property Accountant who is well-versed in month-end close and general ledger accounting to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in GL Accounting as a Staff or Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and analyze property budgets, forecasts, and variances, providing recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with property managers and other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts
• Provide support to external auditors during year-end audits
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the General Ledger Accounting role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Must be a self starter with strong problem solving skills
• Experience in Real Estate and Property Management industries is a plus, but not required
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
