We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our fast-paced team in the Real Estate industry. This permanent position will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your expertise in the field of property accounting, specifically within the multi-family real estate sector. You will have a vital role in managing financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and contributing to the overall financial success of our company. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the financial close process for a portfolio of properties, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and completed on time.
2. Conducting fund accounting, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
3. Managing the audit process, liaising with external auditors, and ensuring all documentation is available and accurate.
4. Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
5. Performing consolidations for multiple entities and managing intercompany transactions.
6. Assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis.
7. Providing financial advice and support to the property management team, aiding in decision-making processes.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and laws.
9. Continuously improving accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant position possesses the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting, preferably within the multi-family real estate sector.
3. Proven experience with financial close, fund accounting, audit processes, preparing journal entries, and creating financial statements.
4. Expertise in consolidations and reconciliations.
5. A strong understanding of real estate industry regulations and standards.
6. Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in using accounting software and other related IT systems.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
