Senior Property Accountant

Located in Brentwood, we are a Real Estate Investment and Management firm with over $4B in Commercial and Residential assets under management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review daily journal entries
• Record revenue, accrue expenses
• Perform month end close processes
• Monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, profit & loss analysis
• Quarterly consolidation of financial data
• Provided accounting for funds, understanding fair value reporting versus historical cost and yield calculations
• Support annual budget preparation
• Coordinate and prepare workpapers provided to auditors annually
• Complete analysis of financial data and assist with ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Previous experience in Multifamily property accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, modified cash basis and cash basis accounting
• Strong understanding of investment accounting (Cost method, equity method and consolidation)
• Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls for Real Estate operations and accounting
• Ability to create and evaluate financial reporting
