Senior Project Manager - General Contractor, High-End TI Projects

Over the past 20 years in business, we've completed over 5,000 projects ranging from design-build core and shell builds to highly technical vivarium, lab build-out, and other mission-critical tenant improvement projects. We've strived to build and maintain strong and enduring relationships with all of our clients while giving back to the communities in which we live and work by seeking to understand our client's needs and approaching each project with a custom-tailored approach. With a large portion of our current work coming from repeat clients ranging from Kaiser Permanente and Lam Research to Facebook/Meta, Google, Oracle, and even Chase Bank, Starbucks, and Jamba Juice- we've grown to become the contractor of choice for a wide range of clients large and small.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and mentor project managers and superintendents.
• Assist and guide superintendents in solving complex construction and code problems.
• Ensure that company’s policies and procedures are followed including jobsite safety program.
• For all assigned jobs:
• Review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications; assist with estimating job costs; and, monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings; inspect jobsites at least weekly; produce weekly reports to the Director of Construction; verify change orders are documented; and, ensure customer satisfaction through job completion; and, assist sales team with facilitating collections as needed.
• Oversee buyout for each project and cultivate & maintain healthy, effective and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors and subcontractors, while seeking out new sources for same. Spot-check payables weekly.
• Investigate and resolve client inquiries and complaints.
• Advise Director of Construction of problems with staff and projects.
• Create increased profitability through creative cost-saving measures.
• Participate in the emergency on-call rotation and manage the BUCU process and equipment.
• Practice safe driving for Camp and encourage direct reports to do likewise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field of study
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management in the Construction industry
• Prior experience with commercial tenant improvements (life science, biotechnology, and/or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred)
• Strong project estimating and scheduling skills.
• Development of client relationships, sales/business development for new opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software (Procore), Estimating Software (Bluebeam), and Scheduling Software (MS Project)
