We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work within the fast-paced and innovative engineering industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and success of our various projects. They will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and project accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for a financial professional who is looking to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for all aspects of project accounting including timely and accurate billing, cost tracking, and revenue recognition.
2. Develop project budgets and forecasts, and provide financial analysis to support project decision-making.
3. Monitor project financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
4. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
5. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
7. Participate in financial audits and assist with the resolution of audit findings.
8. Provide financial expertise and guidance to project teams, and support the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the engineering industry.
3. Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
6. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
