Are you an experienced Project Accountant with a knack for numbers and a passion for construction? We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction accounting, cost accounting, and job costing. This is a permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to play a key role in our financial operations, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Accountant, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounting procedures related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
2. Conducting detailed job costing analysis to maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
3. Preparing and reviewing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
5. Identifying and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in job costing and project accounting processes.
6. Assisting with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for project financials.
7. Providing financial guidance and support to project teams, aiding in decision-making processes to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Project Accountant position, you should possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in cost accounting and job costing methodologies.
4. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
7. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. CPA certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
