Senior Project Accountant - Top Construction Company

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Accountant to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project accounting, including job costing, AIA billing, and lien releases. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in project accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project accounting activities, including job costing, AIA billing, and lien releases.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of project accounting tasks.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and related reports for management review.
• Analyze project costs and provide recommendations for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in project accounting in the Construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, and lien releases.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
