Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Process Engineer to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in optimizing our direct reduction plants and enhancing our process engineering capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of innovative engineers and contribute to the development of cutting-edge steel production technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and conducting process hazard analysis (PHA). This role requires a solid background in steel and chemical engineering.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and optimization of process engineering activities in direct reduction plants.
2. Develop and implement process flow diagrams and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
3. Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and safety.
5. Provide technical support to the operations team and troubleshoot process-related issues.
6. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance the performance of the direct reduction process.
7. Stay updated with the latest advancements in steel and chemical engineering and incorporate them into our processes.
8. Train and mentor junior engineers and other team members.
9. Participate in the design and implementation of new projects and ensure they meet all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
10. Collaborate with the management team to develop strategic plans for the process engineering department.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. Extensive experience as a Process Engineer, preferably in the steel industry.
3. Proven experience with direct reduction plants and direct reduction processes.
4. Expertise in developing process flow diagrams and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
5. Proficient in conducting process hazard analysis (PHA).
6. Strong knowledge of steel and chemical engineering principles and practices.
7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Up-to-date with the latest advancements in steel and chemical engineering.
11. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
12. Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
13. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
