Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Designing, developing, inspecting, and improving industrial processes in our custom metal fabrication and manufacturing environment.
2. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
3. Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
4. Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions by performing process simulations, risk assessment, and testing to eliminate time and cost constraints
5. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
6. Assist in designing and planning equipment layout
7. Implement process improvements to reduce cost and improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred or 5+ years of experience working as a Manufacturing Process Engineer
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a metal fabrication environment preferred
3. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, metal fabrication, and process engineering.
4. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
5. Proficient in CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
