We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Payroll Director to join our fast-paced team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage all payroll functions, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and contribute to our company's financial strategy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing our payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our multi-state operations. This role demands a strong understanding of ADP and HRIS systems, along with a proven track record in payroll management.

Responsibilities:

1. Direct and oversee the operations and strategy of the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple states.
2. Manage and supervise payroll staff, fostering a cohesive and productive team environment.
3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
4. Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to implement payroll strategies and systems that align with company goals.
5. Utilize ADP and HRIS systems to manage payroll processes, employee data, and generate reports for senior management.
6. Handle payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
7. Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
8. Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommend corrective action.
9. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the payroll process.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with a focus on multi-state payroll.
3. Proven experience with ADP and HRIS systems.
4. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related matters.
5. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
10. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
