Senior Mechanical Engineer

Title: Mechanical Engineer
Compensation: $90k-$110k/year (depending on experience)
Location: Des Moines, IA

Responsibilities:

• Lead project management and provide mechanical engineering expertise throughout the design and construction phases.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of company standards to ensure quality and consistency in project deliverables.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide support to team members throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintain and enhance technical proficiency, staying abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
• Exercise effective communication skills to facilitate project coordination and client interaction.
• Uphold a high standard of work ethic and professionalism, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously within a team framework.
• Take charge of project leadership, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client specifications.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you need for this position:

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in project engineering and mechanical design, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design applications is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective collaboration and client interaction.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead projects without direct supervision.
• Prior experience in the commercial, education, healthcare, or government sectors is advantageous.
• Commitment to maintaining technical competency and pursuing ongoing professional development.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
